Mini Pro I Door Mount Basketball Hoop Set

It replaced a series of little toy hoops that never lasted more than a few weeks. This one is really solid and looks professional to boot. My sons (7 and 13 years old) are both playing on it, and so are their friends!

It's been 2 weeks since my 3 boys (ages 13, 10, 9) received their hoop and to say they love it is an understatement. It is amazingly sturdy. That's the best part about it. All the others they've had before now, which were touted as good quality, broke rather quickly. Thanks for a fantastic product. And thanks for the offer of being able to order it already assembled!! It went straight from the box to over the door!

We ordered a hoop for my brother for his birthday. Many of you may have seen similar hoops at Walmart etc. The Quality is just not there. I gave the mini hoop a 5 stars because I look for quality. And be happy you pay a little more.....It's made in the good ole' USA!!!

My boys are begging for one....Good way to get them to do chores around the house:)

I found out it can be attached to the studs on your wall! Good basement fun!

Good product and fits over door Snug- no wobble but not able to close either. Of course all doors are different so be flexible on install setup and you'll be happy as can be with this hoop!

My son asked me to order this item for a church youth function. I thought it was a little pricey for what it was--until I saw the item. I was very surprised at the quality construction of the backboard, rim, and ball. It is like a professional basketball goal, only miniaturized. This would make an excellent gift item and should not be confused with those cheap, over-the-door plastic ones. Glad we found this item! (Original 4/3/12)

My son had fashioned a makeshift door hoop as a boy and played for hours. I bought this as a Christmas present. He and his new bride and their friends play in their first apartment. I ordered the inflatable ball. They are getting a foam one to respect the downstairs neighbors. Quality is high. He loved it. (Original 2/20/12)

I first purchased the larger 2.0 version of these top-of-the-line hoops for my 4-year-old son, to replace a cheap plastic Huffy version that broke in short order from simply banging slightly against the closet door when opening the bedroom door it was mounted on. We liked it so much, I wanted to to purchase a second one, so we could have one in my son's upstairs bedroom and another downstairs. While the larger version could (barely) fit on our front door, I was a little worried it might cause some air leakage in the winter, so I pried it off and put it back upstairs, and I purchased the smaller 1.0 version to hang on a small downstairs closet door (that was too small to comfortably hang the 2.0). Since the prices are similar, I would think most buyers would opt for the larger 2.0, but my experience shows that there is still use for the smaller 1.0. It hangs about 4" higher than the 5'7 3/8" for the larger 2.0 on my door, and the rim is 9" vs. 10.25", so it's a little more of a challenge to (dunk and/or) score on the 1.0 --esp. with my low ceilings, making it hard to get much arc from a distance. For older kids (and/or higher ceilings), the smaller 1.0 version can be advantageous in getting the rim 4" higher. I'm 42 now, and I have fond memories of my Nerf hoop when I was a kid. But this is WAY better! A 9" steel break-away rim mounted on a 1/4" thick polycarbonate backboard?! Wow. Go to the manufacturer's/seller's web site to see a video of a 180lb dude doing pull ups on one of these rims, if you're wondering how sturdy it is. And they also offer the choice of a 5" foam vs rubber ball. I prefer the softer/quieter foam balls upstairs, where we can't dribble on carpet anyway, but I also enjoy using the more realistic rubber balls downstairs on the tile and hardwood foors. I'm also very impressed with the door mounting system. The Huffy was scratching the door and frame a bit, and making it slightly difficult to close (quietly). But the JustinTymeSports door mount manages to not only fit my son's bedroom door great but it's even wide enough to (barely) accomodate our front outside door with a very tight fit. Everything about these hoops screams sturdy and well engineered and built. Highly recommended for kids of all ages, as I am enjoying it almost as much as my son. We shoot around in the foyer before bed now, making that transition easier and more fun, and/or we shoot around in his room once I finally get him up there. (Original 11/21/11)

Bought this for my two sons for Christmas. It replaced a Nerf goal. The quality of the backboard and rim is just amazing. We have used it every day since and have had more fun playing with it and used it more than anything else recieved for Christmas. Keep up the good work! The only problem for me is the foam ball. The paint is coming off already. I wish I had gotten the rubber one. (Original 1/6/11)
